Phi Kappa Phi Love of Learning Awards
Love of Learning Awards help fund post-baccalaureate studies and/or career development for active Phi Kappa Phi members to include (but not be limited to): Graduate or professional studies, doctoral dissertations, continuing education, career development, travel related to teaching/studies, etc. Recipients of the Fellowship award are not eligible to apply. One hundred forty awards, at $500 each, will be distributed to active PKP members.

NSF Math & Science Funding webinars
National Science Foundation (NSF) Program Officers in the Math & Science Partnership program will discuss eligibility criteria, characteristics of Partnership proposals, the four focal areas in the new Solicitation, and the two funding levels and types (Prototype and Implementation) of Partnership projects.
These webinars are open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited. Webinars will be recorded; the archive will be accessible on MSPnet one day after the event.
Two dates are scheduled; the same content will be provided on both dates.

NSF Releases Social Science Priorities
The National Science Foundation has released "Rebuilding the Mosaic," outlining the agency's plans for providing support in the social sciences. The report places a strong emphasis on research that is "interdisciplinary, data-intensive and collaborative." Among the subject areas identified for a special focus:
- Population change.
- Sources of disparities.
- Communication, language and linguistics.
- Technology, new media and social networks.
