Portland PKAL hosts workshop in McMinnville

The Portland Regional Network of Project Kaleidoscope (PortPKAL) is hosting a PKAL Facilities Workshop entitled Learning Outcomes & Learning Spaces. The workshop will be at Linfield College in McMinnville, on Saturday, November 21, 2009. According to PortPKAL, "this workshop will be of value to campuses at an early stage in shaping and reshaping learning spaces for undergraduate communities of learners."

The goal of the workshop is to help participating teams develop a roadmap for planning spaces that address goals for student learning including:

· Making quick fixes that improve current spaces for learning.

· Identifying characteristics of physical spaces that accommodate constructive pedagogies, interdisciplinary connections, learning communities.
